A cement truck, a U-Haul truck and a concrete pumping truck were involved in a collision in the Northbound lanes of the highway Friday morning. It happened just to the North of the PGA Blvd. exit.
First, the Northbound lanes were shut down, as the U-Haul truck was on fire. Later, FHP closed down the Southbound lanes at PGA Blvd, to clean up the scene.
Reportedly, only one person suffered minor injuries, but backups continue in both directions.
Get off the Turnpike Northbound at Okeechobee Blvd. While you can get on Southbound Turnpike at PGA, it is extremely slow, so drivers may want to consider getting off at Indiantown Rd. and using I95.
