The Miami Dolphins are headed to training camp on July 20th and their longtime Hall-of-Famer head coach Don Shula is one of the team's biggest supporters.
Shula, promoting the opening of the latest Shula Burger in West Delray Beach, says he likes "Ryan Tannehill a lot." In addition to the second year quarterback, Shula also likes the second year head coach and the defense, saying "defensively they're pretty solid up front."
We had to get his insight into the upcoming Miami Dolphins season, as he talked about the new Shula Burger, one of five open throughout the state. These are billed as upscale burger restaurants and come on the heels of his successful steakhouses.
Here's video of Andy Preston, from our sister station Gater 98.7, speaking with Shula in person.
Here is more information on the Grand Opening event at the West Delray Shula Burger going on all day Wednesday:
Come out for the grand opening of the Delray Beach location of Shula Burger, legendary coach Don Shula’s latest venture into the world of fast-casual gourmet burgers. Guests can sample the extensive menu featuring options like “The Don,” a burger and hot dog combination dreamed up by Shula himself, as well as burgers with upscale toppings like gourmet spreads, wilted greens and specialty cheeses. Fifty lucky guests will also walk away with a free burger a month for a year. Five percent of the proceeds from the day’s event will go to benefit Achievement Centers for Children and families, an organization that has been near and dear to the Shula family for years. This charity provides affordable, quality care for children whose parents wouldn’t be able to keep their job or go to school without this service.
Where: Delray Marketplace, 14917 Lyons Road, Suite 114 Delray Beach, Fla.
