Dixie, a one year old Maine Coon Mix cat.
She came to Safe Harbor in August, 2011. Dixie was surrendered by her owner just days before giving birth to a litter of kittens. Her owner failed to have her spayed, then was unwilling to take responsibility for the kittens that were about to be born. Dixie had her kittens ( adopted) and was able to raise them in a loving Safe Harbor foster home. She enjoys long cat naps and playing with toys. Although Dixie gets fling with other cats, she prefers to keep to herself and is very independent. She has been tested, vaccinated, and spayed.
