You guys all know how passionate we are about Safe Harbor, the largest NO KILL shelter in Palm Beach County. Their services include a Charitable Animal Hospital as well as giving a "second chance" on life to tens of thousands of sick, injured, abused and abandoned animals. They have been part of our community for the past 27 years. They are moving into a new home at Maplewood Center 401 Maplewood Dr in Jupiter, behind Home Depot .

The facility is not quite ready but they need to be out of their current home by March 31.  If you could help them out by fostering a dog or cat ….or even better adopting a dog or cat that would be GREAT!!

Here is the press release Safe Harbor sent out. Thank you to everyone who can help.

Today, Safe Harbor's resident dogs need you, now more than ever!

"March Madness Adopt A Thon!

OUR LEASE is UP.....  Every DOG (and some cats) MUST GO by March 31st

We are having an "every animal must go" to a loving home

Adopt A Thon now thru March 31st.

Whether you can foster a dog for a few weeks or adopt one for a lifetime,
they need YOU, Now

First Safe Harbor IS and will remain OPEN. We are RELOCATING to our beautiful NEW HOME at Maplewood Center 401 Maplewood Dr in Jupiter, behind Home Depot We expect to be in by the end of April.

Our Thrift Stire is already there open for business and thriving!

But...Our LEASE ENDS on March 31st in our current location Seagrape Square on Indiantown Rd...So we MUST find homes , either PERMANENT home OR TEMPORARY FOSTER homes for approximately 46 dogs; all breeds and sizes, especially larger dogs and some with special needs.

We also have some cats we do urgently need to place at least in a foster home,Pandora & Flora are diabetic, on special food & insulin. SH will provide the special food and meds to the family while they are on foster, we have 2 cats onThyroid meds. Those cats are not best served at our Palm City Cattery, where we have 107 of our resident cats.

Our Palm City Ranch, is home to many of our dogs, however, new kennels are still under construction, therefore we must find HOMES for our resident animals in our current Jupiter location.

As a true NO Kill Shelter, adoption (or foster) is THE only option for our resident cats and dogs. If you or someone you know can provide a loving fur-ever home , or foster for a few weeks, please call Paula at561.386.6595 for cats or Linda at 561.747.1598 ext 4 to foster a dog or to adopt.
